Since 2001, Beverly Stegman, BS, MAud, CR, RYT-200, has been the owner/administrator of Foundation Therapy Center (FTC) in Sandy Springs (Atlanta), GA, providers of outpatient physical therapy, occupational therapy, yoga, and more.
Bev is intricately involved in the specialized protocols and services offered by Foundation Therapy Center, which include, but not limited to, orthopedic therapy, neurological rehabilitation, pain management treatment, massage therapy, reflexology with use of medical grade essential oils, yoga for medical conditions and overall health and wellness, diabetes rehabilitation, vestibular rehabilitation, TMD/TMJ rehabilitation, and more.
Bev is a retired gymnast who sustained a back injury at age 18 with subsequent lumbar spinal fusion and progressive scoliosis. Having suffered for years from daily back pain and worsening posture, Bev decided there had to be a natural, organic way to manage pain, improve posture, and find balance. She found it through yoga and restorative exercise. It is her passion to help others decrease pain and improve mobility, stability, and strength for optimal health and wellness.
For nearly 40 years she has gained extensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, alignment, sports medicine, injury first aid, and medical terminology. She works closely with the certified therapists she employs, as well as numerous physicians, surgeons, clinicians, and medical practitioners. Given her vast experience in the healthcare industry, education, and certifications, Bev can teach you safe, effective biomechanically correct natural human movement for optimal health.
Bev is an acclaimed yoga instructor, specializing in yoga for medical conditions. This renowned and gifted teacher is the first and one of only a few certified Yoga for Scoliosis trainers in the state of Georgia. She has earned certifications in several more areas as a health and wellness coach, Restorative Exercise Specialist, and has completed a Plant-Based Nutrition Certificate Program from eCornell and the T.Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies.
